Fantastic cottage in the most enchanting Cornish fishing village I stayed at Anchor Cottage for a few days with friends and we had a superb time. The cottage itself is beautifully appointed with showers, comfy beds, lovely linen and towels - all sea themed. There is a terrace at the top of the garden with views over the harbour, we sat in the evening sunshine watching the waves and when it got cooler retreated into the summerhouse with our gin and tonics. Polperro is just the best place to stay if you want to get away from it all and enjoy all that Cornwall has to offer: cliff top walks to Looe or Fowey, great pubs (a lot of them), wonderful icecream, cream teas, friendly people, friendly seagulls too (beware when eating ice cream :-) Anchor Cottage is just the best place to base yourselves for the top notch Cornish creature comforts.

We stayed here last week and had a wonderful time , the location is perfect and the views from the bedrooms and conservatory are wonderful, I loved watching the fishermen every morning from the conservatory with a cup of coffee, the bedding is really good quality which is important and the cottage is really well equipped . In the summer the summer house would be a great place to sit with a glass of wine , can't wait to go back

The cottage has been fabulously refurbished in a way that keeps all the charm you want and would expect of a holiday cottage here but with fresh contemporary fittings and furnishings and a fab new kitchen with modern appliances. For us this was the perfect combination. The harbour views are wonderful and the garden , summer house and views from the top are breathtaking. A great place - we will be back !
